Lake of the Ozarks-February 16, 2008
The take-off temperature was around 32 degrees, with cloudy skies and intermittent showers throughout the day. Water temperature was around 41 degrees.
A total of 22 boats came out to fish the LOZ Anglers in Action Tournament Trail.
The team of Roger Fitzpatrick and Dennis Berhorst took 1st place for total weight and 1st for big bass of the day. They reported culling through 22 keepers, bringing a total of 18.28 lbs to the scales, with their big bass weighing in at 4.98 lbs.
Roger and Dennis took home $851.40 for first place and netted another $154 for big bass.
Their sponsors are Ranger, Yamaha, Minnkota, Hummingbird, PLine, St. Croix, Daiwa, Mertens Boats, Chompers, Lunker Lures, and Gamma Line.
Stan Snelson and Butch Belt took second place and a check for $473.00. They brought in 4 fish weighing a total of 14.31 lbs. They reported catching their keepers using Shad Jerk baits in about 6 to 12 feet of water. Their sponsors are Bass Cat Boats, Mercury, Valentine Marine, Belt GM, and St. Croix Rods.
Jack and Jeremy Huddleston took home 3rd place and a check for $378.40. They weighed in 4 fish for a total weight of 13.30 lbs. Their sponsors are Mertens Boats and Motors, Mertens Bait and Tackle, Ranger Boats, and Yamaha.
4th place went to Randy and Roger Krull with 4 fish weighing a total of 10.24 lbs. Their sponsors are Champion Boats, Eberlin Boats and Motors, Mercury, and Uncle Sams.
The second biggest bass of the day went to Scott Taucher, weighing in a 4.78 lb lunker.
His sponsors are Champion Boats, Eberlin Boats and Motors, and Yamaha Motors
Scott Taucher also took home an AiA Pro Pack containing items from our sponsors, Omega Custom Tackle, Seaguar Line, Berkley, Smelly Jelly, and Yacht Brite.
