2007-2008 Anglers In Action LLC
The kickoff for the 2008 Anglers in Action Tournament Trail was held on Sunday, November 25. The weather was in the 30’s with sleet falling soon after take off. A total of 80 bass were brought to the scales weighing 225.30 lbs. Despite the cooling temperatures 28 boats turned out for the 1st tournament for 2008. The Lake of the Ozarks division is sponsored by F & A Marine.
The team of Troy and Jim Eakins took first place, bringing 5 fish to the scale weighing an impressive 19.31lbs. They also took 1st place big bass with a 5.38lb chunk. They reported catching their fish on brown jigs and were fishing the main lake around the docks. Their sponsors include Ranger, Yamaha, Kids Across America, Falcon, Jewel, Seaguar, and Rudds.
Second place went to the team of Christopher Shore and Patrick Middendorf. They weighed in 5 fish with a total weight of 18.97 lbs. They also won 2nd place big bass with a 5.14lb lunker. They fished the mouth of the Glaize and the Dam area with jigs and buzzbaits. Their sponsors are Shore Tire, Pirelli Tire, St. Croix Rods, and Cable-Dahmer Chevy.
Shane Voyles and Bernard Gram took home a check for 3rd place with 5 keepers weighing a total of 18.93 lbs. They reported culling through 18 keepers all caught on buzzbaits. There sponsors are Show Me Campers & Boats, Triton, and Mercury.
In 4th place were Randy and Roger Krull. They weighed in 5 fish for a total weight of 17.86lbs. They fished chunk rock banks near the Hurricane deck area in about 2 to 4 feet water. Their sponsors are Champions Boats, Eberlein Boats & Motor, MotorGuide & Uncle Sams Outfitters.
Jason Weast and Ben London took home the last spot for 5th place. They had 5 fish with a total weigh of 15.31lbs. They reported catching their fish using jigs. Their sponsors are F & A Marine, Sterett Creek Marina, Frankie’s Marine & J’s Trucking.
The 1st team out of the money was Ed & Jeanne Shay. They weighed in 5 fish for a combined weight of 13.47 lbs. They took home an Anglers in Action Pro Pack for their efforts.
