Table Rock - December 1, 2007 Tournament Results & Highlights
The first tournament for the 2008 Table Rock Division was held on Saturday, December 1st. Uncertain weather conditions the night before called for very cold temperatures and thunderstorms all day. The weather was the complete opposite with no rain and temperatures in the high 50's and low 60's, but a very windy day. Despite the unpredictable weather 27 boats turned out and brought in 122 fish to the scales weighing a total of 342.81 lbs.
Lane Shumaker and Peter Wenners took 1st place overall and 1st place big bass with their lunker weighing 7.43lbs! They caught their 7.43 lb largemouth bass at the last minute on their way back in. Lane and Pete weighed in 5 fish for a total of 20.55 lbs taking home a total of $1073.52. Their sponsors are Ranger, Mercury, and Pro- Guide Batteries.
Taking 2nd place and a check for $526.50 was Jerry Hundley and Brian Cunningham with a total of 5 fish weighing 18.65 lbs. They spent the majority of the day fishing the Schooner Creek area throwing spinner baits in 1 to 5 feet of water. Their sponsors are Cozy Creek Trading Co, and Ozark Bait & Tackle.
Jim Thompson and Buster Loving took home 3rd place and $336.96. They brought in 5 fish weighing 17.77 lbs. The team also won 2nd place big bass with a 5.66 lb bass netting them an additional $81.00. Their sponsors are Branson 1st stop, Branson Tourism, Meeks, Cooper Supply, Champion, Yamaha, Jewel, Chompers, Pro-Guide Batteries, Sem Materials, and Table Rock Tackle.
Gary and Denver Martin took home 4th place with a check for $210.60. They caught 5 fish weighing a total of 17.65 lbs. Their sponsors are Nitro/Mercury.
5th place went to Dustin Lee and Ryan Copeland who took home $147.42. They weighed in 5 fish for a total of 16.05 lbs. Their sponsors are Luck-E-Strike, and Bills Marine.
