The temperature at take-off was around 50 degrees, and reached the upper 70's by weigh-in. Forecast called for afternoon storms and high wind. Fortunately, the storms stayed away, but 17 teams battled strong winds throughout the day.
The fishing on Truman had been extremely tough for those anglers that prefished for several days before the tournament, and it followed that trend throughout the day Sunday.

We had a very unusual outcome Sunday. All but one of the teams had come in to the weigh-in site already, and unfortunately came without fish due to the tough fishing out there. The AiA Staff was deciding who & how we
would payout, when the team of Grieg Engel & Scott Strouf came strolling to the scales needing a weigh-in bag.Thats right, 1 fish took 1st place out of 17 boats entered.
The team of Grieg Engel and Scott Strouf took 1st place, weighing in 1 fish for 3.86 lbs. They caught the 1 keeper near the State Park area, fishing a sunny, secondary point using a shad colored jerkbait in 7-8 feet of water.
They also took all of the big bass pot, bringing their total winnings to $901.00.
We decided to draw names for 2nd & 3rd place, so Dennis Morgan of Anglers Port Marine drew
Darryl Reach & John Bennett for 3rd Place, taking home $292.40. Drawn for 2nd place was the team
of Dave Epema & Jim Belcher. They received a check for $438.60.
An AiA Pro Pack with items from our sponsors Seaguar, Berkley, Smelly Jelly and Yacht Brite was given out to the team of Artie Lett & Artie Lett II.
Assortment of Omega Jigs was won by the team of Jerry McCutchen & Greg Wood.
Hot coffee at every tournament provided by Anglers in Action.
