A total of 54 teams arrived at PB2 early Saturday morning for the 2010 AiA Season Kickoff. The weather turned out spectacular, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 70's throughout the day.
Lots of fish were caught, with a total of 173 bass brought to the scales weighing a combined 459 lbs.

Anglers are fishing for their chance to qualify for the 2010 AiA Championship on October 16-17, where a guaranteed $30,000 cash will be won. The top 40% of the total division will be invited to the championship.

Thanks to all the anglers for fishing with us Saturday. We will be back at Lake of the Ozarks on December 5th for the 2nd Anglers in Action event of the season.

The father and son team of Chris D'Aquila and Denny D'Aquila took first place, weighing in 5 bass that totaled 19.41 lbs.
Chris and Denny reported fishing from Tantara to the toll bridge, using black buzzbaits, chartreuse/white spinnerbaits, and black/blue jigs around secondary points in 2-10 feet of water. Congratulations Guys!

Chris Shore and Patrick Middendorf placed 2nd overall Saturday. They hauled in 5 bass that tipped the scales at 16.86 lbs.
Chris and Pat started around PB2 and worked their way towards the dam. They threw crankbaits and spinnerbaits on main lake points, with the bite coming in around 2-4 ft. of water. Chris and Pat reported catching 8 keepers throughout the day.
Mike and Mark Tucker took 3rd place overall, bringing a 5 fish limit to the scales that weighed in at 15.77 lbs.
Mike and Mark reported fishing around the 11 mile marker, fishing shallow water back in the coves with spinnerbaits and black/blue jigs. Nice job gentlemen!

Big Bass:
Big Bass of the day went to the team of Sava Gavrilovic and Randy Horner. They weighed in a 6.78 lb. lunker to take the $378 Big Bass award.
