Anglers were treated to a beautiful spring day on Saturday, for the first Anglers in Action / Triton Boats tournament on Lake Pomme de Terre. Fifty one teams made their way down to the Harbor Lighthouse ramp for an early 6:30am takeoff. Jeffrey Smith and Robert Burrow hauled in 5 fish for a total of 16.92 lbs, including a 6.20 lb. kicker that earned the a first place finish on Saturday.

Anglers are fishing for their chance to qualify for the 2010 AiA Championship on October 16-17 at Lake of the Ozarks, where over $90,000 in cash & prizes will be won. The top 40% of the total division that meet eligibility requirements will be invited to the championship.
We want to thank everyone for fishing with AiA Saturday, and look forward to the next event which will be held on May 2nd. Make a full weekend out of it and fish the Purcell Tire Bass Brawl that will take place on May 1st, going out of Lightfoot Park at 6am or safe light. Anglers in Action will be providing the weigh-in service.

Robert Burrow and Jeff Smith placed 1st at Pomme Saturday, weighing in 5 fish that totaled 16.92 lbs. They reported fishing flats off of main points, using Sweet Beavers in less than 5 feet of water. Jeff & Robert had a limit by 9:30 and caught fish consistently throughout the day. They also had 2nd Big Bass of the tournament with a 6.20 lb. Largemouth. Rob and Jeff took home a total of $2,000.00. Congratulations to you both.
James Edge and Jerry McCutchen took 2nd place Saturday, with 5 bass that tipped the scales at 16.36 lbs.
They fished the upper Lindley Arm with black/blue Chompers jigs, flippin into flooded bushes in around 2-3 feet of water. James and Jerry had 10 keepers throughout the day and a limit by 8:30. Jerry reported hauling all his fish out of the bushes using 25lb. Seaguar Line. They won a total of $980.00.

Dwayne Luby and Rich Michuta took 3rd place, bringing a total of 13.51 lbs. to the scales. They fished bushes and laydowns in the Pomme Arm with E-Factor Jigs and Spinnerbaits. Dwayne and Rich caught all their fish shallow, in 3 feet of water or less. They won a total of $720.00.
