The 2011 Spring Big Bass Bash, held on April 16th & 17th at Lake of the Ozarks, brought anglers from over 20 states, including California and Minnesota, to compete in one of the largest Big Bass tournaments in the country. Over $140,000 in cash was paid out to the Big Bass Bash contestants, including a whopping $31,000 to Wayne Misner of Owensville, MO, who took the lead early Saturday morning with a 7.39 lb. Lake of the Ozarks giant.
A total of 160 semi-hourly payouts ranging from $1,000 to $160 were paid out to the lucky anglers throughout the weekend, totaling over $68,000 in semi-hourly awards. Also, 10 Big Bass Bash anglers were successful in hitting the 3.00 lb. & 4.00 lb. exact weights, which paid out a combined $5,000. Entering early always pays off big, just ask the 10 Early Bird winners who registered prior to April 1st and took home a check for $500 each.
All in all the tournament was a huge success thanks to all of you anglers, we appreciate your support and look forward to another exciting Big Bass Bash this fall at Lake of the Ozarks on October 1st & 2nd. Early Bird deadline for the fall BBB is midnight on September 16th.
