2009 - 2010 Anglers in Action LLC
A total of 139 qualifying teams turned out for the 2009 Anglers in Action Championship on Stockton Lake. Anglers were vying for their shot at more than $43,000 in cash prizes, including a $25,000 cash grand prize to the 1st place team.
The fishing was hot just days before the tournament, but high water and a cold front that moved in made the fishing conditions throughout the weekend less than desirable.
James Watson and Corey Eutsler were 1 of only 2 teams able to round up a limit both days, bringing a total weight of 25.43 lbs to the scales. They just edged out Scott Tassi and Steven Jahay of Grand Lake to win the 2009 AiA Championship and the grand prize of $25,000 in cash.

James Watson and Corey Eutsler took 1st place, weighing in a 2 day total of 25.43 lbs. They reported fishing flat, main lake points in the Big Sac Arm. Corey and James flipped 1/2 oz. black/blue Lucky Strike jigs, and threw Lucky Strike-Rick Clunn Trixster blades in around 4 ft. of water to catch their limit each day. They won a grand total of $25,600.00.

Steve Jahay and Scott Tassi placed 2nd overall, and we're the only other team that had a 5 fish limit each day. They weighed in a 2 day total of 25.31 lbs., coming up just shy of the 1st place weight. Scott and Steve fished the mid lake area, flipping black/blue JT Custom Jigs in the willows and the submerged brush, with the bite coming in around 5-8 feet of water. They reported catching all their fish Sunday in the last 30 minutes of the tournament.
Scott and Steve won a total of $5,480.00 for the weekend.

3rd Place went to Steve Olive and Bobby Williams, with a total weight of 25.13 lbs. They fished the Big Sac Arm, flipping 1/2 oz. jigs and throwing spinnerbaits behind windy, main lake points. Steve & Bobby said the bite was scattered throughout each day, with 4 caught on a jig and 1 on the blade Saturday, and Sunday hooking all 4 keepers on the jig. They won a solid $2,570.00 for their 3rd place finish.
