Dave was able to win the Anglers in Action Solo Pro event held at Truman Lake by fishing two different techniques. The first was throwing a Dave's Custom Baits Black Market Balsa in the large size on flats adjacent to main river channel swings that contained laydowns and stumps. The main depth on the flats that Dave keyed on was 2-6 feet of water.
The second technique was throwing a big worm in fence rows on flats in deeper water. The main depth on the flats on the fence rows was 12-14 feet of water. All the fence row fish were suspended about 3-6 feet down in the trees. The color of Black Market Balsa that produced the best was "Pyscho Shad" and the color of worm was a Tequila Sunrise 11" worm.
